Is RETO3D a film or digital camera?
RETO3D is a film camera, which requires films to take photos. You can watch our tutorial video on how to load films properly:
What kind of films is recommended?
Any 35 mm film is good to go. For sunny days, you could use films with ISO100-200. For cloudy days or indoor situation, use films with ISO400-800. Remember to use flash too!
How to develop and scan a film roll?
Take the finished film roll to any film labs to develop and scan. Don't forget to order the scans in half-frame since one RETO3D exposure takes up 3 half-frames.
Why do I only get 23-24 pictures out of a 36 exposure film?
Our RETO3D takes 3 half-frame photos with by 3 lenses which takes up 1.5 frames. A 36 exposure film yields 24 3D pictures, while a 24 exposure film yields 18 3D pictures.
Why are my photos so dark?
The photos will be underexposed if they were taken in a dim environment without the proper use of flash.
Why are the photos out-focused?
RETO3D is a focus-free camera. The closest focus length is 1 meter which means the object has to be put at least 1-meter from the camera.
How film photos could be sent to my phone?
Since RETO3D is a film camera, you will need to develop and scan the films first. After that, you could save the scanned, digitalized photos in your phone.
How to make film photos into 3D GIFs?
Use RETO3D APP to make 3D animated videos. Just upload the scanned photos to the APP and follow the APP's instructions.
Why the battery drain so quickly even I do not use RETO3D very often?
The battery drain quickly if you forget to turn the flash off when RETO3D is not in use.
